To remain competitive in the challenging market environment and catching up with fast-changing global packaging trend, Mega
always believe in technology advancement. Therefore, our factories are well equipped with the necessary tools in every stage of job processing, whether being Prepress or Post press.
We have some of the best Prepress tools in the market and these are all in-house processes. Desktop Publisher (DTP), Esko-Graphics Computer to plate (CTP) system and IGT system (special colour matching tool) are some of the common tools use in our production floor.
To ensure good and consistent quality labels are being deliver to our customers, we invested in technology such as Spectrometer (for colour density measurement), BST system (online registration control device), and high speed camera inspection/slitting machines.
It has always been Mega
culture to only buy from reliable, competitive and reputable suppliers, especially on our core material components. We treat our supplier as our long term business partner and growing together is part of learning process.
Some of our main suppliers are such as Avery Dennison, UPM Raflatac, Esko-Graphics and Heidelberg.
A known good image is stored in the inspection system (Reference image). Reference can come from camera, PDF or a customer approved label.
Camera takes pictures of the running web. Every label is imaged and compared with the reference image.
The inspection system detects printing deviations (color differences, register, small particles / dots, die-cut tolerance, label position, etc.). However it is understood that printing normally will have tolerances.
If the observed differences are larger than the tolerances, the label is marked as defective.
